story
In the near feature, the village of HANATANI will be sunk in a dam. In the village, there is an old photo studio which is open, but not a customer in sight.  The owner of the shop, KENICHI, is an old-fashioned stubborn man.  His wife had passed away already, and he lives with his second daughter, KANA.  His defiant son, TAKASHI lives in Tokyo alone as an assistant photographer. His first daughter, NORIKO also left, and KENICHI does not even know where she lives.
One day, a message was left on TAKASHIfS answering machine in his shabby apartment.  That is this storyfs beginning.  A public worker of the village, NOHARA wanted to leave a memory of the beautiful village forever, and asked TAKASHI and KENICHI to make gThe Village Albumg, a photograph collection of all of the families that live in the village.

Because of his girlfriend, RINfS advice, TAKASHI listened to the request reluctantly.  To manage taking the pictures, the father and the son visit each of the houses by walking through the village surrounded by a large natural setting.  But their shadows never overlap because there is a deep gap between their emotionsc
